I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil…but I have never called myself an artist. I’ve taught myself to make almost anything with fabric, paint, beads, and a laptop…but I have never thought of myself as an artist.
The first step along my journey has been dealing with the #impostersyndrome that seems to be so common among creatives. Just adding the #artist tag to this photo gave me a strange feeling.
Nobody: Oh, so you just gon’ call yourself an artist?
Me: Yeah, I am!
